Instaflex vs Osteo Bi Flex

Today we have this Instaflex vs Osteo Bi Flex comparison for you.

Joint supplements are growing in popularity each year. With it, so does the number of options on the market.

If you’re looking for the best joint supplement for flexibility, pain reduction, and everyday comfort, then you might get confused by the sheer number of options that are available. Not to mention the marketing hype of these supplement companies, which makes it hard to tell which claims are legit, and which ones are total garbage!

Today we’ll inspect two highly popular joint supplements – Instaflex and Osteo Bi-Flex – to see which one comes out on top, and how they compare to other market-leading joint health stacks.

Instaflex vs Osteo Bi Flex Comparison Summary:

Instaflex and Osteo Bi Flex are both natural supplements. This makes them healthy alternatives to prescription joint pain pills.

Instaflex contains a high-curcuminoid turmeric powder which should relieve your joint pain as well as lower inflammation. Osteo Bi Flex, on the other hand, is our preferred pick for promoting cartilage repair and long-term joint health with its high dose of glucosamine, Boswellia Serrata, and MSM.

However, both products have some notable downsides.

Instaflex contains some underdosed ingredients, including turmeric and hyaluronic acid, which lowers its effectiveness overall.

On the other hand, Osteo Bi Flex doesn’t even show some ingredient doses—they are masked in a proprietary blend. While neither of these two supplements makes it to our “top list,” we pick Osteo Bi Flex as the better option between the two due to its significantly cheaper price.

Instaflex vs Osteo Bi Flex: Product Overview

Instaflex

Instaflex (aka, Instaflex Advanced) is one of the most popular joint supplements available today. It’s been one of the top-selling joint stacks for a while now, and doesn’t seem to be going out of trend anytime soon. But what does Instaflex actually do? Who is it for?

Instaflex is an all-natural anti-inflammatory supplement. It targets your joints and surrounding tissues to alleviate pain and discomfort. Additionally, Instaflex claims to help you:

  • Improve flexibility
  • Enhance motility
  • Provide relief from joint aches in 7 days

Quite strong claims these are. Below we’ll see how they hold up when checked against the available scientific evidence.

Before that, let’s have a quick look at its competitor – Osteo Bi Flex.

Osteo Bi Flex

Osteo Bi Flex is, much like its competitor, a highly popular joint supplemenet in the U.S. You can find it at Walmart, CVS, Kroger, and also Amazon.

According to its manufacturers, you should experience these benefits from Osteo Bi Flex:

  • Enhances joint mobility
  • Relieves joint stiffness
  • Soothes joint aches

Osteo Bi Flex claims it can give you joint comfort within 7 days, thanks to its patented Boswellia Serrata ingredient.

Normally, it takes a few weeks to notice significant improvements in joint pain and flexibility. But the Osteo Bi Flex’s claim is not unrealistic.

Instaflex vs Osteo Bi Flex: Comparing the Ingredients

Instaflex and Osteo Bi Flex have significantly different ingredient profiles. They only have two ingredients in common; Boswellia Serrata and hyaluronic acid.

Which one do we rate as more effective?

Osteo Bi Flex. Let’s see why.

Instaflex

The ingredients in Instaflex are:

  • Turmeric – 200mg
  • UCII (25% collagen) – 40mg
  • Hyaluronic acid – 5mg
  • Resveratrol – 100mg
  • ApresFlex Boswellia serrata extract – 100mg
  • BioPerine – 5mg

As a whole, Instaflex is a solid joint formula. It consists of several ingredients that are better than those in many popular joint health pills today. But Instaflex is also far behind the leading joint formulas on the market.

As we said, you will find some great ingredients in Instaflex. We get a quality extract of the Boswellia Serrata plant, along with some turmeric and hyaluronic acid. Together, these substances help alleviate your joint pain and strengthen your joints.

But there are problems.

The main one is the low dose of hyaluronic acid. At only 5mg per serving, we’re getting far below the minimum optimal dosage of 60mg. Some studies used 200mg or more.

It’s unrealistic to be expecting any beneficial effects from 5mg of hyaluronic acid. This dose is far too weak to produce changes in your joint pain, function, or overall joint health.

Another problem with Instaflex Advanced is that it contains resveratrol which isn’t the most effective joint health ingredients—plus, it has a poor oral absorption. Resveratrol takes up 200 mg of Instaflex’s capsule space, which could be used for a more effective ingredient like bromelain.

Do we think Instaflex’s formula is good? Absolutely. It’s better than many other joint stacks out there.

But is it the best? Here, we’ll have to say a resounding “no”.

So then, is Instaflex better than Osteo Bi Flex?

Osteo Bi Flex

Osteo Bi Flex Triple Strength ingredients are by far the most important aspect of this supplement. They will tell us whether Osteo Bi Flex is any good for promoting what it claims to promote, and how it compares to its competitor – Instaflex.

Here are the ingredients you’ll find in the Osteo Bi-Flex:

  • Glucosamine HCl (1500mg)
  • Chondroitin/MSM Complex (1103mg)
  • Joint Shield 5-LOXIN ADVANCED (Boswellia serrata extract) (100mg)
  • Chondroitin sulfate (unknown dose)
  • MSM (unknown dose)
  • Collagen (unknown dose)
  • Boswellia serrata (unknown dose)
  • Boron (unknown dose)
  • Hyaluronic acid (unknown dose)

Osteo Bi Flex is not a bad joint supplement. It’s certainly not a scam, and many of its positive reviews online aren’t too far off.

Compared to Instaflex, Osteo Bi Flex contains a few unique ingredients that make it stand out.

Osteo Bi Flex does have some advantages over Instaflex in terms of the formula, but it also falls behind its competitor in certain areas. So both products have their pros and cons.

This leaves us with a similar conclusion about Osteo Bi Flex’s ingredients as with Instaflex’s: it’s a good joint supplement, but it’s not the best.

Glucosamine in Osteo Bi Flex is an excellent ingredient choice. It’s been shown to be highly effective for enhancing cartilage strength and density, promoting long-term joint health.

Boswellia serrata that is found in the formula is also a highly effective joint/bone health enhancer. Numerous studies show that a quality Boswellia Serrata Extract (such as 5-LOXIN Advanced) can reduce joint pain. In some studies, joint health improved in about a week (which is where Osteo Bi Flex might be getting its “joint health improvements within 7 days” claim from).

However, Osteo Bi Flex is not without problems. Some of its ingredients, like collagen, might be dosed too low (as is the case with Instaflex). We believe that collagen typically works best at higher doses for joint health.

Hyaluronic acid is a common ingredient in cosmetics, and is sometimes used for promoting joint health. The problem is, we can’t see the dosage of hyaluronic acid in Osteo Bi-Flex, as the ingredient is hidden in a proprietary blend.

Boron is a mineral which doesn’t have any known deficiency symptoms; and it might be more focused on helping against osteoporosis. We already get this trace mineral through apples, dried fruits, and many other foods.

As a whole then, Osteo Bi Flex is not bad, but it could be more transparent with its ingredient doses. As it is right now, we can’t say how effective it might be due to the proprietary blend.

Our Commentary on Instaflex vs Osteo Bi-Flex Ingredients

As we’ve seen, both Instaflex nor Osteo Bi-Flex have decent ingredient profiles – a lot better than the masses of joint health supplements out there.

If we had to choose between the two, Osteo Bi Flex is better. It contains higher amounts of glucosamine and chondroitin, and it has more ingredients overall, which should help to benefit your joint function and comfort.

On the other hand, Instaflex’s advantage is that it contains turmeric – which is a potent anti-inflammatory. As such, Instaflex might be more effective at alleviating pain in the short-term, but as a long-term solution, we rate Osteo Bi-Flex as the better option.

Instaflex vs Osteo Bi Flex: Safety Analysis

Both Instaflex and Osteo Bi Fle are safe, natural dietary supplements. The answer to if they will cause side effects is “probably not.”

The ingredients in both supplements have all been tested for safety in robust clinical studies, on human volunteers, and have been found to healthy for normal consumption.

The ingredients in Osteo Bi-Flex and Instaflex are all common in joint supplements (for better or worse). Joint supplements in general, and especially the very best joint supplements, are not known to cause serious side effects.

That said, there’s a caveat in that we don’t know the individual doses of some key ingredients in Osteo Bi Flex.

As a result, side effects are a possibility. If you experience any, you should stop using the product and contact your doctor.

Instaflex vs Osteo Bi Flex: User Reviews

Generally, Instaflex and Osteo Bi-Flex both boast mostly positive customer reviews. Out of the thousands that are shared online, many of them say good things about the benefits of both of these joint supplements. You will occasionally stumble across a negative review saying how the effects weren’t as good as they wanted. There are also reports of mild negative side effects, albeit rare.

It’s a good idea to take online testimonials with a pinch of salt, as it’s difficult to tell which ones are legitimate. It’s easy nowadays to write fake negative, or positive testimonials about the product, despite the claims of Amazon and other big retailers that they filter out the fake reviews.

With that being said, looking at product testimonials online can give you a good general idea about the product. Above all, the user reviews will almost always tell you if the product in question is legitimate, or a total scam. The latter isn’t the case with Instaflex nor Osteo Bi-Flex.

Instaflex vs Osteo Bi Flex: Pricing & Value

Instaflex costs between $60-70 per bottle, depending on where you buy it. Each bottle lasts you a month.

As for Osteo Bi Flex, the price can vary depending on the version you choose, as well as where you buy it. A 80-tablet bottle of Osteo Bi Flex costs $17.98 on Walmart’s website. On Amazon the price can go much higher. Make sure to do your research before buying this supplement.

The Bottom Line

That concludes our Instaflex vs Osteo Bi Flex comparison. In terms of pricing, Osteo Bi Flex definitely takes the edge as the cheaper option.

Instaflex, on the other hand, takes a lead in terms of popularity and customer reviews online.

From our analysis, Instaflex falls short and can’t compete with Osteo Bi Flex in most areas. For us, Instaflex is not as good as Osteo Bi-Flex in terms of overall value for money and joint health benefits.

That being said, Osteo Bi Flex hides its ingredient doses behind a proprietary blend, so it’s not the very best joint supplement either. Though, for the price, it should give you a good enough reduction in joint pain and stiffness.
